Our experience of well-being is rooted in intention, meaning, and purpose. In therapy, I help individuals and couples connect with their sense of meaning and purpose, while guiding them in moving toward it. Together we will build insight, practice new skills, and take intentional steps toward creating change. My approach is active, collaborative, and grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with an emphasis on helping clients connect with their values and take committed action.

Individual Therapy

My practice focuses on helping clients discover what matters most to them and take intentional steps toward it. I support clients who are navigating anxiety, low self-worth, life transitions, and questions around identity, purpose, or motivation. As a queer-identifying individual, my work is especially affirming for LGBTQ+ individuals. In session, we create space for self-reflection and self-compassion, while learning to relate more flexibly and intentionally to difficult thoughts and emotions.

Couples Therapy

I help couples clarify the meaning they share in their relationship today and explore their path forward. Together we will work to improve communication and connection, while strengthening emotional and physical intimacy in your relationship. I work with both heterosexual and LGBTQ+ couples, including those in the early stages of relationship development and those navigating significant transitions. My work with couples is grounded in evidence-based approaches, including the Gottman Relationship Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Working together, I can help you:

  • Strengthen communication and conflict skills

  • Deepen emotional and physical intimacy

  • Clarify shared values and relational goals

  • Rebuild trust after breaches or distance

  • Approach consensual non-monogamy with clarity and care

  • Navigate life transitions with greater flexibility

  • Cultivate a more meaningful, purpose-driven life together

Experience

I’m a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Washington, DC, working under the supervision of Carolyn Bell. I hold a BA in Economics and Policy Studies from Syracuse University, a JD from George Washington University Law School, and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. My professional background includes work in public education, private law practice, and restaurant ownership/hospitality—experience that informs my practical, relational, and values-driven approach to therapy.
